Since 1789 Catholic cemeteries have ministered to New Orleans families seeking consolation and peace
at the death of a loved one. Today, New Orleans Catholic Cemeteries continue our ministry of mercy and compassion with services to help families plan and cope with the loss of a loved one. Guided by our faith, we strive to uphold the sacredness of the human body and the dignity of all life as we witness the faith in performing a Corporal Work of Mercy: to bury the dead.
